The drive from.....

There are not words to describe the drive home from  New Mexico. I wish I could use such adjectives like, wonderful, harmonious, quiet, or even fun! But instead the drive home was like HELL! And that's putting it mildly! Ella did not want to be in her car seat and she let us know it by screaming her head off, Lilly started crying about 1 hour into the ride, and asking if we "are there yet"(its an 8 hour drive). I watched Lion King twice, Gatorade was spilled all over the vehicle (twice, maybe three times)And the constant nagging, crying and screaming! I know it may not sound that bad, but I assure you it was. When Tyler couldn't take it anymore he pulled over on the freeway  and told the kids "to get out" and go hunt for lizards! Needless to say the eight hour drive turned into almost 11!! NEVER AGAIN!! And NO MORE CHILDREN!

Here is Tyler and the kids on the side of the road looking for lizards.

I love it. I didn't even know you were going. I can just see all this happening. I'm laughing. I love it

that sounds totally miserable, the lizard hunting was a good idea, even though it does make the ride home that much longer! glad you made it home safe!!

I love this story! Anyone who says this has never happened to them is a liar.

We just drove back from Lake Powell and thankfully that was only 7 hours. Whoever invented portable DVD players with headphones should receive the Nobel peace prize.

Ohh I so understand. We just did that to Cali. But yours sounds worse. And that SUCKS about the flu. Really, I have had that and youre right, being dead would be better. Then you have NO energy for days.

Cute blog. I'm sorry your trip home was not that fun. That's why we don't go on trips.

Funny story. I can relate. Delaney cried for a solid three hours on our way to California. It makes you do things you never thought you would do as a mother. Like take them out of their car seats. (I swear there were no cars around!!!)

Anyhow, it was so fun to peek in to your life. Your family is adorable! Thanks for saying hi and keep in touch.
